Our Shoebox Appeal runs all year, with the main activity from August onwards, in partnership with Blythswood Care.

In 2025, thanks to incredible support from our congregation and the wider community, we filled 701 shoeboxes for children and adults in Ukraine. No-one could have anticipated achieving that amount in times when people are struggling with the current cost of living. An amazing achievement!

Donations of items welcomed, and our Knit ‘n’ Natter Group contribute beautifully handmade goods such as hats, scarves, gloves and more. We also greatly appreciate £3 per box to help cover postage, supported by fundraising events like coffee mornings and quizzes.

A fantastic team organise shoe box wrapping evenings in the summer months in the church.

We are a local drop-off point, with collections taking place from late October to early November. The busiest months are September to November, and we always welcome extra helping hands, even an hour makes a difference. It is a great venture to be part of!
